Hermitage Caring Center Food Pantry
The Caring Center is a ministry of Hermitage Baptist Church whose purpose is to help meet the physical needs of those less fortunate in our community. Open weekly and supported completely from the donations of church members and the community we serve around 80 families each month.
Sacks of Love Ministry
The school district has identified hundreds of students who are at risk of having no food when they go home each day. Hermitage, along with Wateree Baptist Church have adopted Camden Middle School where we send food home each week to over 30 students during the school year.
Kershaw Baptist Association
Hermitage is a member of the Kershaw Baptist Association, partnering with other like-minded Baptist churches in order to reach our county and community for Christ.

Church Planting Partnership: Christ Our Hope Church, Clifton, NJ
Pastor Jason Fletcher with Pastor Carlos Soca
Hermitage is partnering with NAMB and several other churches to help plant Christ Our Hope Church in Clifton, NJ. Clifton is part of metro New York and is home to over 80,000 people without one Southern Baptist Church. We began praying for Pastor Carlos Soca and his church planting team in January 2013. In 2014 we began financially supporting them through a portion of our offerings. Our third mission trip to NJ is planned for 2016.
Church Planting Partnership: Crossroads Church Baldwin Campus in Long Island, New York
In 2013 we also began sponsoring Pastor Jamie Rodgers as he and his family moved to Long Island, NY as church planters. In 2015, Jamie launched the Baldwin, NY campus of Crossroads Church, Long Island.
North American Mission Board
Through our offerings we help support the church planting efforts of the North American Mission Board helping to plant churches across the United States and Canada. For more information about church planting with NAMB, take a minute to watch the following video.
Hermitage has a passion for taking the gospel to the nations. We have taken international trips to Honduras and sent church members on trips around the world.
In 2016, through our partnership with the Kershaw Baptist Association, Hermitage is helping take the gospel to the island nation of Cuba. As the political situation is changing, the doors are opening to spread the gospel in this communist country. At this time, we are able to send small teams on short term missions to assist the indigenous Baptist churches in Cuba in planting churches.
Each year we pack and collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. These shoeboxes are a way for everyone to be involved in international missions, even those that cannot personally go. In the last three years we have commissioned over 500 boxes to take the gospel to children in need.
International Missions Board
Through our regular offerings and special Christmas offering for missions named after Southern Baptist missionary Lottie Moon, we help support missionaries around the world serving with the International Mission Board. It is exciting to help take the gospel to the unreached people groups through missionaries who have sacrificed it all to fulfill the Great Commission.
