The senior citizens group at Hermitage Baptist church is known as “Forever Young.” This is an accurate description of this lively group. Our seniors are very active and they are a cherished and vital part of our church family. Mrs. Juila Marshall is our “Forever Young” coordinator, and she does a wonderful job ensuring our seniors come together in fellowship, activity and ministry. The first Tuesday of every month at 12:00 we have our “Forever Young” fellowship lunch. There is always plenty of food, laughter and conversation. Some of the trips our seniors have taken include; Savannah Georgia, Charleston South Carolina, Gatlinburg Tennessee, Saint Simon Island, Georgia and the occasional trip up the road to grab a meal together. The “Forever Young” group is currently planning a spring yard sale with part of the proceeds going to the building fund. We would love to have you be a part of this fun and active group.

August 9th leave church at 7:30 for Mt Airy (Mayberry, NC) Andy Griffith
Hometown
visit local shops and interesting places from the Andy Griffith show. Leave in
am for Shackley Springs,
eat lunch at their famous restaurant and get some of their spring (miracle)
water. Leave there and tour Asheland County Cheese Company and then come home in
early pm.
September 27-29 Fall Jubilee 2010 The Old Time Gospel Singin laughin & Preaching
conference for senior and mature adults.
October Georgia Mountain Fair have not got date yet but usually will be around
October 12. will go to the Hancock's house in the mountains.
November-December will go to the beach for the Carolina Opry and will have
seafood if there is any available.
