Children Infants through 5th grade

Sunday School

Each week year-round, children from infants through 5th grade are taught biblical principles in a fun and engaging environment. The gospel is central to our lessons as our children study how Jesus Christ is central to the message of the Bible and to life. Sunday School groups meet each Sunday at 9:45am.

In addition to our Sunday School, our church offers the AWANA club 5-7pm on Sunday evenings during the school year (August-May). Children from all over Kershaw County come to Hermitage for Bible stories, games, friends, and fun.  If your child or grandchild is anywhere from three years old to fifth grade, they have a place in AWANA. Call the church office or contact our AWANA commander Kevin King for more information.

Teens 6th grade through 12th grade

Sunday School

On Sunday mornings, we have a time of Sunday School that is from 9:45-10:45 AM. We currently have classes for Middle School (6-8th grade), High School (9th-12th grade), and College and Career. We are currently on a three-year cycle through the Gospel Project where we will be studying the entire Bible chronologically. The purpose of the Gospel Project is to point out the overarching plan of redemption throughout all of Scripture, how everything from Genesis to Revelation points to Christ, and how we can be part of God’s mission. Our students will also be introduced to 99 of the most essential doctrines of Christianity.

Sunday Evenings

On Sunday evenings (during the school year) we meet from 5-7 PM. During this time we have a chance to fellowship with one another. Each student also has an opportunity to be a part of a small group Bible stud. We will also have recreation and snacks. On Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm we focus on being actively engaged in ministry.

For several years now our students have the opportunity to participate in SummerSalt youth camp. This camp is sponsored by the South Carolina Baptist Convention and is held at the White Oak Camp and Conference Center in Winnsboro, SC. Here our students are challenged to give their lives to Christ and to live for Him.
